April 22: Earth Day!

From as soon as 1960, many environmental worries were starting to grow. This is why in 1970 the American Senate decided to define April 22nd as “Earth Day”. That day an environmental celebration was held, with 20 million people attending.
Until today, every year on April 22nd, more than 500 million people attend occasions worldwide to celebrate Earth Day.

Even though every day should be earth day, at least this day is one where most people in the world hear about this and get more educated on the environmental hazards that today are much bigger and dangerous than the year 1970 when the educational celebrations started.
The sad thing is that many people remember our mother Gaia only on this day of the year, and many more on NO day of the year. Most people would rather throw their waste (and they don’t even know where it actually goes), rather than recycle. Also, even though many people are informed and educated about alternate forms of energy, and energy saving, they either don’t want to bother or don’t have somebody to provide them with the right tools so they can start doing what we believe is the right thing to do: recycle and save energy as much as we can!

Consider it, it’s actually easier being green than being a waste freak!
